This well mannered mare is back with us as of November, 2011. She was broke to ride, and trail ridden as a late
2 year old, early 3 year old.
She has produced 3 foals for us. Two double homozygous foals and a buckskin tobiano filly in 2010 that is also
for sale. See her on the 2010 foals page. She is just as gorgeous as her dam!
This mare isn't real tall.....14.1, maybe 14.2 ....but as you can see she is extremely well built. HUGE hip and
super WIDE chest. Combine that with that adorable 'baby doll' head she got from daddy, as well as his dun factor,
she's one very nice mare. Lacey gets along great with every other horse that's shared her pastures. She is
a passive, non aggressive mare....but normally will not be 'bullied' either. She is appropriately defensive of her newborns,
but has no issues with a person messing with them. She has good ground manners, and so is very safe, and very easy
to handle. Great mother and easy breeder. She was pasture bred in late May and June to the bay tobiano son of
Ris Key Business at the top of this page. Diaman H Risks QT Bar. So she should have a very nice, black/bay/dun/grulla tobiano
foal in May of 2012.

Peppy Red Rio - an own son of Peponita. Peponita
is by the immortal Peppy San and out of a daughter of Poco Tivio. On Peppy Red Rio's dam's papers you can see the names Gay
Bar King, Easter King (King) and Miss Hollywood (Hollywood Gold)
Peponita was NCHA world Champion in 1977 and 1979. Winner of over $120,000AQHA World
Champion Sr Cutting, 1977 and 1978.
This colt's second dam is Fairy Fisher by Kingfisher - two names very well known for quality offspring.
Not sure what else you could ask for in a stallion prospect??
I guess there is at least one other thing to look for......

I LOVE the color and markings on this sweet young mare. She has outstanding conformation and a real working horse
pedigree. Her dam stands close to 15 hands, her sire a bit under that. We have a full sister of her, she stands
at least an inch taller than her dam. Hmmmm. Since her dam's sire was not only a superior reiner, but did well at halter
(and produced a number of halter greats), I'd assume that height comes from that part of the pedigree. She
also did well with her few lessons under saddle. UPDATE: 1/24/06. 30 days ride on this filly and not
a single buck out of this one. Walk, trot, canter both directions, with a great 'whoa'. Incredible soft jog and
slow lope. All arena work so far. Another 30 days ride this past winter (2006/2007) and she didn't forget
a thing!! Great mare!
