I update the albums for the youngest horses every week or two until winter. Since they are in the pasture most of the time, they do grow heavy winter hair. Winter photos rarely do them justice. Once they start to shed, I'll again take regular photos of them (usually in May).

2011 BLACK TOBIANO GAITED MARE

14.3 hand gaited trail horse. No papers, but appears to have a Tennessee Walking horse build and gait.
She was purchased to be used by my husband as a trail horse, but she's not going to work for him. We ride with loose (draping) reins, and she's been trained to ride with some contact. Can't teach an old dog new tricks. (Let's pretend I'm taking about the horse, not the husband).
So.....we decided we'd breed her to one of our stallions and offer her in foal. She never showed a strong heat, even though we kept teasing her all summer. We finally took her to the vet to see if he could resolve her reproductive issues. SURPRISE!! She was very much already in foal! Vet thinks she's due in March (2025), so she had to have been bred immediately before we bought her. No clue what she's bred to, but we are offering her as a 2 in 1.
She has NOT been ridden since last spring, but we do have a video of her at You Tube being ridden by a friend that is quite familiar with gaited horses.

She has great ground manners. Friendly and easy to catch. She is straight, sound, and correct.
